Hello,

Now that the Game Jam is over, I am writing this to notify you about the game's future.

By Your Side is a prototype developed in 5 days for the Brackeys Game Jam 2022.2 on the theme "You're not alone". You play as a ball that gets help from a mouse wizard. Use the wizards ability to spawn blocks to solve puzzles and safely get the ball to the end, but be careful, you have a limited amount of blocks. The game introduces a innovative design of puzzle platformers. 

By Your Side got a lot of great rates and comments. I was excited to see that people liked my game and so I decided to develop it into a full game. I will be using your feedback, so if you find any bugs, let me know in the comments. 

My plan is to first fix the bugs and add some polish to it. Then add depth and more puzzles. With that said here are some fixes after the Game Jam:

• Player doesn't slide off corner of tile anymore
• Fixed the jump sound, so it plays on every jump
• Wizard can't shoot before he appears
• Added coyote time and jump buffering
• Enemy hitboxes are more forgiving
• Press R when stuck to restart from last checkpoint

Also did some polishing:

• Added a box that shoots lasers, so you know which way the laser is pointing
• Added animation when checkpoint is activated
• Added some particle effects when spawning blocks
• Added pause menu screen (press P to pause)
• Added main menu
• Added options menu

I plan to add more and eventually release the full game in the future!
